UFC 310 | BEST BETS
So here we are fight fans. The last big pay per view of 2024! What an incredible year we have had as fans of this crazy sport. It’s been spectacular! I can’t wait to see what 2025 brings us. UFC 311 was just announced with an unreal card topped by 2 world title fights. Plus we may even finally see Jones V Aspinall face off in 2025. Here’s hoping anyway.
So let’s get into this final card of the year. I’ve got some incredible bets to finish the year. Let’s get it done people.
For my first bet of this card I went for a massive underdog, and by that I mean both the size of the dude, and the price on him to win.
Alexander Volkov to win @ +285
The big Russian Volkov has been on a tear of late and has racked up 4 straight wins. 3 of those have come inside the distance. What I like about Volkov also is that he’s been active. Those 4 fights came in the last few years. His opponent Cyril Gane hasn’t fought in over a year. As he was off filming some TV show in France.
I just think since Gane won against Volkov last time they met by decision, that the Russians improved and the Frenchman has gone backwards. Call it a hunch, call it whatever you want. But I think the 6’7 big man from Russia gets the win this time and pulls off the upset. At near 3/1 odds, I’ll take the chance.
Next up we head to the 170lb division.
Max Griffin to win @ -110
I think the public are betting this line down, and betting on mommas boy Michael Chiesa to win. As this has become a pickem fight on the odds. Griffin was a favourite. So I’m chuffed I can get a better price. The problem Chiesa has is that he’s outgunned big time on the feet, and Max Griffin is very hard to finish. Even by sub. Chiesas best shot. Plus Chiesa has a suspect chin. Griffin doesn’t hit quite as hard as he used to. But he still has more than enough to flatline Chiesa.
The only way I see Max losing this fight is if Michael brings his Mum along and makes this a 2-1 handicap match. Dana would probably sanction it. Don’t overthink it. Bet Max to win.
For my final bet of this article, we have to cover the main event of the evening! It’s not the main event we all wanted! But in the 125lb division we have the guarantee that we nearly always get an absolute banger! This will be no different!
Kai Asakura to win @ +197
Now if you’re a fan of the One promotion you’ll already know all about Kai Asakura. If not, continue reading and go out his name into YouTube. He’s an absolute savage! With a record of 21-4 with 16 of this coming inside the distance, it’s safe to say he can bang. Watch out for his knee strikes in particular. He’s won his last 2 fights putting people to sleep with them. He’s lightening quick too. Nice footwork. I really like this kid.
Alexandre Pantoja we know all about. The champ. The number 1 guy in the world at 125. So why am I backing the underdog. Well here’s why. I think in Pantojas last few fights he’s shown he’s falling off a little. He’s not had that pop in his punches, and his gas tank seems to be getting worse. Just my opinion anyway! So please no Brazilians start hunting me down! Pantoja is a legend. I just think a new champ is going to be crowned, and also more importantly I think Dana wants that too. Call me a cynic but Dana would love a Japanese world champion! It would be great for this bank balance and most of all the marketability of the company in that region.
Trust me, it’s happening.
Enjoy the violence my lunatic degenerate friends.
