THE GOOSES EDGE | UFC302 Betting Predictions.
What’s up fight fans. Your drought of UFC betting action is almost over, as we head to Newark, New Jersey for UFC302 : Makhachev Vs Poirier. Let’s face it degenerinos, if you’re pulling for Islam to get the win this Saturday can you even call yourself a fight fan? Probably not. Unless you’re living in a village in Dagestan, I fully expect you to be pulling for The Diamond to finish the story.
In the co-main event we also have an absolute barn burner on our hands. On one side of the octagon we have former middleweight champion Sean Strickland, who brings his own brand of crazy to Newark. Across from him on the other side will be meme maker extraordinaire Paulo Costa. Now don’t let the humour fool you with these two guys. Both are ridiculously talented fighters who will go to war on Saturday night for our viewing pleasure. I am most certainly here for it!
So to get you warmed up for the top 2 fights of the night. Where for me no betting is needed. I’ll give you some of my best bets for the card, along with a live underdog play and a 4 fight parlay.
Ailin Perez to beat Joselyne Edward’s @ -180.
I love this play on Perez. She started out as a -250 favourite, and with the whole of Panama throwing money on Edward’s to win, we get a steal of a price on Perez. On the feet Edward’s has a small advantage possibly. But in the grappling department boy does Edward’s love spending time on the mat. On average she’s spent between 8-10 minutes on the mat in her last couple of fights. This wasn’t even in with fighters who i regard as quality wrestlers. Which Ailin Perez is. I expect Perez to land a handful of takedowns and control Edward’s for the majority of the fight. Couple that with Perez landing some solid strikes in the process, and I think she gets it done on the judges scorecards. The only hope Edward’s has is that she lands something hard & puts Perez out. Not something we see to often in WMMA. Perez has the better and more likely routes to victory. Take my money!
Jailton Almeida to beat Alexandr Romanov by KO/TKO or SUB @ -155.
All of a sudden so many people seem to be doubting Jailton Almeida right now following his KO loss to Curtis Blaydes. Losing to Blaydes isn’t a disgrace. It’s not like he got knocked out by Parker Porter is it? No. So let’s just stop with the slander. Thankfully the bookies are kind of buying into it too. So here we get a great price for Almeida to get back in the win column against Russias Romanov. A dude who was not so long ago starched in round one by Alexandr Volkov. Couple that with Romanovs horrible performance beating Ivanov last time out, and we have a recipe for some easy money. Almeida is the best fighter Romanov has faced and it’s going to show here. I’d even sprinkle on the 1st round win for Almeida @ +200. Thank me later.
Roman Kopylov to beat Cesar Almeida @ +105
The featured prelim of the night will see two absolute killers take to the cage to throw down. But when taking a killer in this sort of match up, I side with the faster guy and thats Kopylov. Both are elite kick-boxers. Almeida even has a win against Alex Pereira in kickboxing. But he also has 2 loses to him. Plus this isn’t kickboxing this is MMA, so the experience inside the cage also lands with the talented Russian. Whilst Kopylov is not a known grappler, he has recently started to train out in Dagestan to improve his ground game. An we all know what that means. Almeida can stuff take downs against the cage. But in the middle of the octagon he folds like a deck chair. Kopylov just has more ways to win here.. This will set up the main card nicely, as these two take the roof off in Newark. But Mother Russia has got this.
Last but not least, my 4 FIGHT PARLAY is below. I won’t bang on as to way this is a great play. Just trust me and pick up the win.
