BETTING BANANAS – UFC VEGAS 107 – BLANCHFIELD VS BARBER.

Guess who’s back? Back again! Phil is back! Tell your friends!
Ok so enough with the Eminem intro people. I am happy to be back doing articles and content for my beloved family at Fight Banana’s! Ill be here every week with a betting breakdown for all the UFC events, and any major combat sports shows I’m throwing money at.
So lets get into this weekends UFC action. On what to me is a low key banger of a card from the APEX. Headlined by the number 4 and 5 ranked women in the world, in the UFC Flyweight divison.
I will have 4 bets for you every week. More If theirs some plays I really like. The rest you can catch on my socials on the links at the bottom of the page.
THE BANANAS BANKER – Does exactly what it says on the tin. It’s a play I fully expect to win. When it does, it covers the outlay for the rest of my plays.
Blanchfield & Gamrot to win +135 – First off I don’t dislike Barber, she is a great athlete and her games improving. But this is just too early for her. Blanchfield has more ways to win. Erin is competent in the stand up, as shown last time out V Rose. Erin has volume, cardio for 5 rounds and most importantly an absolutely lethal submission game. For those reasons alone, it just isn’t “The Futures” time just yet. Thrown in Gamrot to beat Klein, and we have ourselves a superb plus money double. Gamrot is arguably the best wrestler in the division, and is made of granite having never been stopped. Theirs no way Klein can rack up the volume or control time needed to get the win here. Lock it in.
BET OF THE NIGHT – Pretty straightforward. What’s my best value play of the card.
Zach Reese to win via KO -110 – Great price for the highly touted prospect here. He’s got serious power in his hands, and is facing a guy in Todorovic who was brutally knocked out in his last fight. This has all the makings of a showcase fight for Reese. One he’s expected to win quickly and look a million dollars doing so. I wouldn’t bet a million, but it’s by far the best value bet of the card.
UNDERDOG OF THE NIGHT – All about finding that one guy or gal who the bookies have priced wrong. That 1 for the upset win. With that DAWG in them. This guy is the epitome of that.
Kurt Holobaugh to win +158 – Kurt was unlucky last time out, losing a close decision to Hernandez. Personally I thought he’d done enough to win. He takes on Jordan Leavitt. Jordan is completely outgunned on the feet here, and whilst he has an advantage in the wrestling, Kurt is ridiculously dangerous off his back. Kurt has 10 of his 21 wins by way of submission. These odds should be a lot closer! Lump on!
Last play of the night and what’s going to be a regular feature of my article when possible.
DAVES DART – Yes that’s right a play from our illustrious leader and chief David Van Auken. I’ve tasked him with picking a long-shot prop be each week. An I must admit I love his pick for this weekends card.
Jafel Filho to win via KO +450 – If David hadn’t picked this, then Filho to win may have been my best underdog on the card. He faces Allan Nascimento, who even as a favourite, comes in off a long 18 month layoff. Why I love David’s play is that both these guys will cancel each out on the mat. Both are BJJ experts. So we will end up with a kickboxing type fight. When that becomes the case I expect Filho to have the upper hand and win this by brutal KO. Possibly even in the 1st. Log it, and don’t blink on this one.
Good luck with your bets people, and please gamble responsibly.
