Howdy fight fans! We head to Atlanta, GA this weekend for a UFC Fight Night card. This card is headlined by the welterweight fight between Kamaru Usman & Joaquin Buckley in what is sure to be an absolute banger of a contest! Buckley has been on a tear of late, and he gets to test himself against arguably the GOAT of the 170lb division. Here’s my take on some of this weekends best bets, and as always I’ll have Dave’s Dart for you to finish. Let’s get into it my compadres.

Cody Durden to win @ +150

I think this a great price for Durden to get his hand raised this weekend. He takes on Jose Ochoa who is 0-1 in the UFC, but did look good in his losing effort debut against Lone’er Kavanagh. Durden will provide a great test for his 2nd fight at this level. Cody holds a big wrestling advantage, is extremely gritty, and is used to a much higher level of competition than the 24 year old Ochoa. I think this fight is much more of a coin flip, and was surprised to see Ochoa as a near 2/1 favourite. I’ll happily take the dog money on the always game Cody Durden to get his hand raised here. Ochoa has potential, but I don’t think he’s quite ready for the competition in the UFC’s top 20 just yet. Code is ranked 17 at Flyweight. Going the distance with Joshua Van last time out. Ochoa is no Joshua Van. Not now, not ever. Thank me later. 🙂

Next up, I’ve got “No Love” for Barcelos!

Cody Garbrant to win +160

There is absolutely no way that a guy who is a former champion and 5 years younger than his opponent, should be this kind of underdog. I’d get it if he was fighting like a 38 year old Khabib, but this is Raoni Barcelos. Yes I hear the crises of Cody is washed and has no chin! But Raoni is hardly the 2nd coming of Francis Ngannou. Hell hes not even the 2nd coming of Rob Font FFS! He is an aging Brazilian who hasn’t won by KO since 2019. So I will ignore the calls that Cody is done and lump on my man at these odds every day of the week, and twice on Sundays! Plus I think he’s undefeated with is stupid little eye tattoo! lol.

But seriously this price is wild. There is no way I could possibly recommend to anyone to take Barcelos as a big favourite. Heck I wouldn’t even pick him as the underdog. Yeah he’s gritty, gets in your face and just beat Payton Talbott. But this is exactly why this is such a great spot. Imagine the price if the decision win against Talbott went the other way. Cody would be the favourite. I don’t think Barcelos was that good against Talbott, I think it was more a case of Talbott was over confident and got caught out. Trust me, take the dog in this fight. No Love redemption tour starts now. 👊

Now because I can’t do a 3am UK main card start time nowadays at the ripe old age of 46. So those are my main two bets for this card. I only stay up for PPV’s nowadays! Sadly. Miranda Maverick to win by KO +2000.

Now I haven’t backed this. Hence no slip. But trust me this price is legit. Just go check your favourite sports-book! I’d sprinkle on it if I was watching the card LIVE. But as I’ll be fast asleep I’ll wake up and see if this longshot landed! Yes Miranda doesn’t have a huge record of winning my KO. But Rose will get taken down by Maverick. If she then lands a stack of ground and pound I can see a storyline where this happens! At the odds, it’s worth throwing the dart 🎯
